Why is sin and the “not good stuff” so enticing and exciting? Why does the things of the world taste so much better than the things of God? The truth is.., the things of the world and sin actually taste like cardboard once we truly taste of God. The devil deceives us that by just reading the Bible or going to church, we are having a relationship with God, but we are not. A relationship flourishes on intimate time. If we look at the story of Mary and Martha, both were in the “presence” of Jesus, but only one was in His intimate presence, receiving and growing. The Bible is clear that if we seek God we WILL find Him, which shows that after receiving Jesus, it now takes pursuit on our behalf. The amazing result is we WILL find Him. Make a decision to spend intimate(one- on- one) time with God every day – you won’t recognize your life.
